Starting from and finishing in Recanati, the town is located a few kilometres inland from the Adriatic coast, on the initial hills that rise from the sea and extend as far as the Apennine mountains, the spine of Italy.

Recanati is a town rich in history and art, the cradle of Giacomo Leopardi’s poetry, born and raised here, and where it’s still possible to visit his childhood home and the places that inspired his work.
Thoughtful and well-structured organisation means the Leopardina is one of the most interesting Granfondo in the region, with two routes that cater for not only the competitive granfondo racer but also the cycle tourist who loves nothing more than discovering and exploring new surroundings.
